Project: bangy road improvements

Overview

The project consisted of widening the southbound lane of SW Bangy Road to accommodate a new 12-foot wide right turn lane and sidewalk. The existing embankment has an overall height of 16 feet. NGI performed a subsurface investigation, performed laboratory tests and provided findings and conclusions. NGI's report included recommendations for clearing and stripping, fill materials, subgrade preparation, subgrade compaction, protection of exposed earth slopes, drainage and the pavement section. During construction NGI provided soils monitoring, concrete testing, and asphaltic concrete testing.
