Project: Conference Center and Golf Resort

Overview

In support of an expansive Conference Center and Golf Resort project on the Oregon Coast, NGI completed laboratory services. The laboratory services were completed for the project owner as requested and directed by the non-Oregon based engineering corporation. Through utilization of NGI’s laboratory sample disturbance due to shipping was minimized and project costs were reduced. This laboratory testing program included numerous geotechnical and Atterberg limit tests for soil classification and basic properties. In addition, select samples were also analyzed for unconfined compression tests, triaxial shear tests, maximum density determination, and flexwall permeability tests. NGI’s laboratory manager worked closely with the project geotechnical engineer to assure that the appropriate test parameters were utilized. Updates were provided throughout the testing and a final written report was issued. The project was completed under budget and within the requested time allowed.
