NTI's in-house laboratory has been inspected and approved by the Oregon Building Officials Association (OBOA), the City of Portland Bureau of Development Services (COP-BDS), the International Accreditation Service (IAS), the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO), the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). NTI operates under and is certified to meet ASTM E329, “Standard Specification for Agencies Engaged in the Testing and/or Inspection of Materials Used in Construction” and the International Standards ISO/IEC 17020 “General Criteria for the Operation of Various Types of Bodies Performing Inspection”, ISO/IEC 17025 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories” and ISO/IEC 9000 “Quality System Management.”

NTI's 2800 square foot construction materials testing laboratory is one of the largest and most capable in the Pacific Northwest. NTI's laboratory services are utilized by numerous geotechnical and environmental consulting firms in support of their projects. NTI's commitment to professionalism and integrity in its laboratory support services make it an efficent and cost effective option for both specialized testing and large scale laboratory programs. All analysis and reports are completed pursuant to NTI's Quality System Manual. Reports are issued timely and in a professional format. NTI's laboratory is experienced and qualifed to test soil, aggregate, concrete, masonry block, asphalt, and other construction materials.
