Willamette Temperature Control Project, Cougar Dam Intake Tower Modifications, Cougar Reservoir, Oregon NTI is currently providing special inspection and materials testing for the new 302-foot wet well added to the south face of the intake tower and the construction of a new cofferdam. The upgrades are to improve habitat conditions for Willamette Spring Chinook Salmon by regulating water temperatures downstream which will allow water to be withdrawn from various elevations in the reservoir. NTI’s services include concrete mix design and trail batching, concrete batch plant inspections, reinforced concrete inspection, monitoring fill placement, prestressed rock anchor installation inspection, environmental remediation, reading geotechnical instrumentation setup to monitor movement of the dam during draw down periods, as well as maintaining an on-site materials testing lab.		Weyerhaeuser, Inc., Paper Mill Albany, Oregon NTI provided special inspection and materials testing for the 220 foot boiler building, turbine generator building, digester building, and numerous outbuildings, pipe bridges and large chemical storage tanks including monitoring the placement of 4,500 and 2,500 cubic yard mass footings. Duties included reinforced concrete inspection, concrete batch plant inspection and mix design evaluation, structural masonry inspection, monitoring fill placement, high strength bolting inspection, and welding inspection.

Toyota Portland Port Facility Terminal 4 Portland, Oregon NTI is currently providing special inspection and materials testing for the new port facility at Terminal 4 including the construction of seven new structures with a combined 100,000 square feet of interior space. The $40 million development will enable Toyota to more efficiently receive, inspect, clean, fuel, and accessorize the 160,000 autos shipped to the site each year. Duties include subgrade evaluation, earthwork monitoring, reinforced concrete inspection, asphaltic concrete inspection, structural steel inspection including non-destructive examination of FEMA moment frame connections, structural masonry inspection, and proprietary anchor inspection.		Hillsboro Stadium Hillsboro, Oregon NTI provided special inspection and materials testing for the 4,000 seat, 168,000 square foot stadium. Duties included monitoring fill placement, reinforced concrete inspection, structural masonry inspection, high strength bolting inspection, and welding inspection. The 90 + acre site consists of a 7,000-seat stadium and four softball fields. Approximately 70% of the seats are covered by a suspended steel roof. The roof sections are separated with translucent decking that corresponds to the structural support towers, and the access aisles below.

Tri-Met WCO 501 Project, Washington Park Zoo Station and Elevator Shaft Finishes Project Portland, Oregon NTI provided full time contractor quality control construction testing and inspection for the completion of the Tri-Met tunnel stations. Elevator shaft finishes included 24-hour concrete slip-forming inspections for the deepest subway platform in North America. NTI developed quality control programs for all aspects of work and coordinated with the general contractor’s (Hoffman Construction Company of Oregon) quality control manager and Tri-Met’s representatives (Parsons – Brinkerhoff). NTI typically provided two technicians and a lead inspector, as the project required, for structural earthwork and parking area improvements, reinforced concrete, and structural welding. The project required thorough documentation and in-depth management due to high public awareness and quality audits by Federal and Tri-Met agencies. NTI also served as supplemental City of Portland certified inspector when needed for Tri-Met. NTI is continuing to provide services on several Tri-Met projects under a flexible service agreement.		City of Tualatin Police Facility Tualatin, Oregon NGI was selected by the City of Tualatin to perform construction monitoring, materials testing and special inspection services for the City of Tualatin’s Police Facility. Duties included reinforced concrete inspection, structural masonry inspection, structural steel inspection and proprietary anchors.

City of Portland Bureau of General Services NTI is currently providing special inspection and materials testing in support of the new construction, remodeling and seismic upgrading of several fire stations, police facilities, the Union Station Annex, and several other buildings. NTI’s special inspection services have included monitoring of reinforced concrete, structural masonry, proprietary anchors, structural steel and welding, and earthwork operations.		Chemeketa Community College Salem, Oregon NTI is currently providing special inspection and materials testing for the Chemeketa Community College Salem Campus Addition, Santiam Campus Addition and Woodburn Campus Addition. NTI’s special inspection services include reinforced concrete inspection, structural masonry inspection, monitoring fill placement, fireproofing inspection, welding inspection and high strength bolting inspection.

Oregon Health Sciences University – Patient Care Facility Portland, Oregon NTI has teamed with Mayes Testing Engineers to provide special inspection and materials testing services in support of OHSU’s newest clinical facility at the Marquam Hill Campus. The $256 million project began in spring of 2003 and is scheduled for completion in spring of 2006. The Patient Care Facility will consist of eleven stories above a four-level parking structure. NTI’s scope of services includes special inspection and materials testing in support of reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, shotcrete, high strength bolting, structural welding, including non-destructive examination of FEMA moment frame connections, and fireproofing.		Xerox Corporation Campus Seismic Strengthening Wilsonville, Oregon NTI is currently providing special inspection services for the seismic upgrading of several buildings at the Xerox campus. Duties have included structural steel inspection, structural masonry, reinforced concrete, fill placements, and proprietary anchors inspection.

Portland Community College - Cascade Campus Portland, Oregon NTI is currently providing special inspection and materials testing in association with the new construction of the Physical Education Gymnasium Building and Moriarty Arts and Humanities Building as part of the $57 million campus improvements. Duties have included reinforced concrete inspection, post-tensioned concrete inspection, structural steel inspection, structural masonry inspection, and proprietary anchors.		West Linn-Wilsonville School District, Wilsonville High School Wilsonville, Oregon NTI provided geotechnical engineering, inspection and materials testing for the Wilsonville High School Project.

Costco Wholesale Warehouse Building and Gas Station Wilsonville, Oregon NTI provided special inspection services for the new construction of the Costco facilities. Duties included reinforced concrete inspection, structural steel inspection, structural masonry inspection, proprietary anchors inspection and the monitoring of fill placement.
